Practice Facilities

Nothing has been left to chance at Hasentree, and that includes the 10-acre practice facility where conditions before you tee it up equal those on the Tom Fazio-designed course. No wonder handicaps seem to keep dropping around here.

As many as 32 golfers can hit balls on the 1-acre tee area, so there is ample room. The numerous target greens also resemble the average size of 6,800-square-feet that players expect.

The expansive short game area has two greens – one for bunker play and another for chipping. The bunkers are duplicates of those golfers will see on the course, down to the exact look, feel, height, and bunker facing. The bunker area has also been extended so golfers can hit a typical fairway bunker shot, all of which is seamlessly blended into the tee deck.

The practice putting green, located just a few yards from the golf shop, also meets course specifications and measures around 7,000 square feet. Brand name range balls are provided for golfers to practice with and a staff member is never too far away to wipe a club clean.

The practice facility has been the gathering place of clinics for youths and adults held by PGA Professional Golf staff, and was the site of lessons on driving, hybrids, and the mental approach to golf provided by Hasentree member and three-time PGA Tour champion Carl Petterson, 2008 Ryder Cup member Ben Curtis, and FedEx Cup playoff finalist Tim Clark.

“This is where I can come and practice all the shots and really work on my game.”
